After a really long time, it must be almost five years, I finally managed to spent a few consecutive days in Chamonix again. I arrived with fresh snow and unfortunately another heatwave following the good neige poudreuse.
Overwhelmed by the size of the place and not used to the high altitudes, it was sometimes tough to keep up with my strong local guide Laura 😉
Highlights we hit along the way:
- Aiguille du Midi: Vallée Blanche – Grand Envers 3.3, E2 (sect. 40°) [Day 1] *Powder*
- Col Supérieur du Tour Noir: Couloir Est 5.1, E2 (45°, 600m) [Day 3]
- Aiguille du Midi: Couloir des Cosmiques 4.3, E2 (40°-45°, 600m) [Day 5]
Things that, for various reason, still wait to be skied
- Petite Aiguille Verte: Couloir Chevalier [Day 2]
- Grande Lui: Face West [Day 3]
- Aiguille Sans Nom (Dorées) : Couloir Fynn-Biselx [Day 4]
